UPDATE 17th JANUARY 2022
The Street Party will be between 4pm-8pm: this gives us the morning to set up tables, chairs, games and quizzes. if you are willing to supply your own table and chairs that is great, they can be taken to the site on the morning of the event. There will be more communications from us soon.
We will be asking everyone to bring a picnic but if you would like to share food with others please make sure that they haven’t got any allergies.
We are looking forward to seeing you all and having a great community party and get together.
UPDATE 14th DECEMBER 2021
The working group are continuing to plan the proposed Eaton Rise Community Street Party, to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, on Ipswich Road on Saturday 4th June 2022. We recently delivered leaflets to the whole of Eaton Rise to make the residents aware of the proposed event and asked residents to complete the paper or online survey. Many thanks to all those that responded and we are really pleased to see that we had over loads of responses and 120 households replied 'yes' or 'maybe' to attending the event. We were also delighted by the contributions you were prepared to pay to support the event. We also had lots of offers of tables, chairs, bunting, outdoor games and other items and we are really grateful for these. We have contacted those that have provided an email address.
We will continue to update you on progress and please email the working group on eatonjubilee2022@outlook.com if you have any ideas or would like to get involved. We will look to provide updates via this page and social media from early 2022.
