CHRISTMAS CAROL SINGING

For the second year Eaton Rise residents joined forces with members of United Reformed Church on Tuesday 17th December and walked around the estate singing old favourite carols.
An astounding 30 volunteers braved the wet weather to bring festive cheer to residents along Lyhart, Broadhurst and a section of Welsford Roads. Many thanks to all involved and those lovely residents who opened their curtains and gave us all a welcome wave. Afterwards we enjoyed hot drinks, mulled wine and mince pies.
A very jolly Christmas event!

Over the garden gate - garden fair - Saturday 5th may

A community gardening event ‘Over the Garden Gate’ was held at the United Reformed Church on Saturday May 5th and enjoyed by Eaton Rise residents young and old. The Master Composters demonstrated how to make good compost and intrigued the youngsters with their Wriggly Worm wormery full of lively red worms. Young wildlife enthusiasts were also invited to make ‘bug hotels’ on the Norwich in Bloom stall while their parents admired the attractive Notcutts stand and the intriguing bonsai specimens displayed by Don Yates. There was also information about recycling, allotments in Norwich and a plant stall, and refreshments provided by the church.
The updated Eaton Rise booklet is now available for £5. Click here to download a preview. To order a copy, please use the contact page.
