Net Zero Eaton Meeting:
As part of broader work through the Net Zero Norfolk Project and the Norfolk Climate Change Partnership, the role of communities in the county’s future energy system and how we make homes more energy efficient, are being explored. Involve, an independent charity specialising in public participation, has been asked to provide assistance. As part of this, Involve is holding meetings across communities in Norfolk to find out the role Norfolk communities would like to play in shaping community-led energy initiatives and what support they would like to achieve their ambition. Involve will use the results of these discussions to suggest advice for local authorities on working with local companies on energy. The views of our community will be combined with those from across Norfolk. These will be shared with local authorities and relayed back to the local community. The Eaton meeting will take place on Monday 28 April 18:00 – 20:00 at the URC hall. People may book a place using the following link:
Roundtables on community involvement in local energy in Norfolk
This will be an informal, interactive session with no prior knowledge of community energy being required. Local residents are invited to attend and we will be offering an optional £30 voucher to attendees to thank them for their time. There will be space for up to 15 people to attend, but if more sign up then we will randomly select attendees.
