CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES 2021
Christmas Lights Competition
Once again Eaton Rise has been lit up with lots of lights and garden displays. Santa and his little helper walked round the estate on a crisp December night admiring the lights, and picked a winner on Constable Road. A bottle of seasonal cheer was handed over, and Santa and his little Elf returned home for some hot chocolate and a mince pie! |
Carol Singing
Nine people attended the carol singing around the estate on the evening of Thursday December 18th. Not as good a turn out as in 2019 but that was expected due to the new covid rules. On the whole well received and afterwards we were invited for hot drinks and mince pies at the church. Thanks to Rev John Potter and Annie Kerridge for the photos

Father Christmas Walk
We had a good response from our flier for a wave from Father Christmas. The walk was undertaken by Father Christmas (Les) and his four elves ( Nigel, Kathleen, Hayley and Kyal). We were all dressed up for the occasion.
This was an immense success with even more people coming out to greet us or opening windows to wave. The greatest joy was to see all the children looking stunned, excited and happy to see us. It was a surprise for us to be welcomed not only with waves and calls of ‘Happy Christmas’ but we were also offered chocolates and sloe gin! (not together).
In the following days I received five lovely emails to say thank you for doing it and how it made Christmas morning even more special for the residents.
